These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Loventide mobile application ("App") operated by Loventide ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Loventide. Loventide is a romantic couples application intended exclusively for adults. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account immediately.
To use Loventide you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.
You may pair your account with one partner at a time. Pairing is done via an invite code. You are responsible for only sharing your invite code with your intended partner.
You agree not to use the App to:
Reporting. You can report content or behaviour that breaks these rules directly in the App: choose Report from the menu on a memory or letter your partner created, or go to Profile → Report a concern. You can also email support@loventide.app. Reports are private and are never shown to your partner.
What we do. A member of our team reviews every report within 24 hours. Where content violates these Terms we remove it, and we suspend or terminate the account of the user who provided it.
Blocking and leaving. You can leave your couple at any time from Profile → Leave couple. This immediately unlinks both accounts and removes your partner's content from your space. When you leave you may also block that person, which permanently prevents them from pairing with you again.
Your own content. You can delete anything you created at any time, and it is removed for both of you immediately.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without notice, if you violate these rules.
"User Content" means anything you upload or create in the App — journal entries, letters, voice notes, photos, videos, quiz answers, and other content.
You retain all intellectual property rights in your User Content. By uploading it you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and transmit it solely for the purpose of delivering the App's features to you and your partner. We do not use your User Content for advertising, AI training, or any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. Content is only ever visible to the one partner you have chosen to pair with; nothing you create is public. We may remove any User Content that violates Section 4.
Loventide offers free and premium features. Premium access is available through an auto-renewing subscription or one-time in-app purchases processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, with subscription management via RevenueCat.
Loventide may offer "Gems", a virtual currency earned through in-app activity or purchased via in-app purchases. Gems have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. All Gem balances are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the App you agree to our Privacy Policy.
The Loventide name, logo, app design, and all proprietary content (excluding User Content) are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks or branding.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LOVENTIDE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF CONTENT, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via a push notification or in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
